The BALD theatre company presents the Pittsburgh premiere of The Burn Part Boys, directed by Justin Zeno with music direction by Nancy Gordon Galluzzo. Starring John-Michael Breen, Matt Augustyniak, Joseph Serafini, Logan Williams, Amanda Hawkins, Chad Elder, Corey Nile Wingard, Brian Barrett and Justin Zeno, the show plays The Grey Box Theatre in Lawrenceville for six performances only, August 31 through September 8, 2012.  BroadwayWorld has a first look at the production photos below.

All curtain times are at 8 p.m. except the Sunday matinee performance on September 2 at 2 p.m., which will include a "talk-back" session with the directions, cast and specially invited guests, along with light refreshments. The Grey Box Theatre is located at 3595 Butler Street, Pittsburgh, Penn. All seats are $20.

A gripping new musical drama from a gifted young creative team (Mariana Elder, Chris Miller, and Nathan Tysen), The Burnt Part Boys follows the unforgettable coming-of-age story of 14-year-old Pete (John-Michael Breen) fighting to claim his past. His older brother Jake (Matt Augustyniak) is hoping to forge a future. With an eclectic band of friends (Joseph Serafini, Logan Williams and Amanda Hawkins) teetering on the brink of adulthood, they've embarked on a life-altering journey to the coal mine that took their fathers' (Chad Elder, Corey Nile Wingard, Brian Barrett and Justin Zeno) lives. With its soaring, elegiac bluegrass and pop-inspired score, this new musical finds both the streaks of light and the heart of darkness within us all.

The BALD theatre company's mission, achievable through the presentation of quality theatrical performances, is to explore and expose stereotypes, focus on the individual, and to embrace those qualities that make us unique and valuable. the BALD theatre company is a celebration of our differences beyond stigma without fear of substance or content, while connecting to our collective human experience.
