Pittsburg Community Theatre is bringing everyone's favorite ogre in Shrek The Musical JR for your enjoyment. Based on the Oscar-winning Dreamworks Animation film, this LIVE, high energy musical is sure to bring a smile to your face and help everyone get their "freak" on.

Director, Lena Timrott, in her directorial debut, has brought together a cast of over 30 from Pittsburg and surrounding areas.

In a faraway kingdom, the green ogre, Shrek (Adrian Bustamante), finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits, runaways who've been cast off by Lord Farquaad (Justice Krugman), a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wise-cracking companion Donkey (Michael Hackett) to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task - if he rescues feisty Princess Fiona (Chloe Beresfore-Wood) from the Dragon-guarded tower (Nayeli Roman), his swamp will be returned to him. But, a fairytale wouldn't be complete without unexpected twists and turns along the way. Part romance and part twisted fairytale, "Shrek Jr." is an irreverently fun show for the whole family.
