The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is proud to present the captivating, world-famous tribute show, One Night of Queen, at the Byham Theater on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at 7 p.m.. Cohen & Grigsby is the season sponsor of the Trust Presents series.

Performed by Gary Mullen & The Works, this live concert will feature rebel-rousing renditions of Queen's greatest hits, including We Will Rock You, We Are the Champions, Another One Bites the Dust, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, and Bohemian Rhapsody. For over seven years, these talented musicians have toured Europe and New Zealand performing for deliriously energetic sold-out crowds. Don't miss the amazing opportunity to re-live the glorious days of Freddie Mercury and the world's greatest rock band when One Night of Queen comes to the Byham!

As a lifelong Queen fan and talented singer, Gary Mullen often performed karaoke at the Horseshoe Bar in his native Glasgow, Scotland, where he wowed audiences with his powerful renditions of Queen hits. Impressed by his talent, Gary's wife and mother sent an audition tape to the British Television show, Stars in Their Eyes, without telling him. In 2000, Gary won the national competition for his stunning portrayal of Freddie Mercury's look, sound, and showmanship, garnering more votes than any other contestant in the show's history! His popularity and success on television motivated him to form Gary Mullen & The Works.

For over seven years, Gary Mullen & The Works have played to sold-out crowds in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Holland, and New Zealand. They recently appeared in Hyde Park, London, where an audience of 40,000 sang along to rocking renditions of songs like Somebody to Love, Fat Bottomed Girls, and Another One Bite The Dust. Even legendary Queen guitarist Brian May exclaimed, "You certainly share with Freddie more than a likeness - all respects to your pursuit of excellence."

The Pittsburgh tour will include Gary Mullen, vocals; and The Works: guitarist Davie Brockett, bassist Billy Moffat, drummer Jonathan Evans, and pianist Malcolm Gentle.
Freddie Mercury would have celebrated his 60th birthday on September 5, 2006. Sadly, this great rock and roll legend passed away too early. In recreating and paying tribute to the greatest rock band of all time, the spirit and passion of rock icon Freddie Mercury lives on with One Night of Queen. "As tribute bands go, there can be none better than this. Superb" (Blackpool Gazette). For Queen fans of all ages, this is one show that cannot be missed. One Night of Queen will rock you...guaranteed!
