The first and - even after all these years - only performance series of its kind, the New Hazlett CSA is an innovative program that allows patrons to directly support local emerging performance artists. Since the seeds were first planted in 2013, the New Hazlett Theater CSA Performance Series has brought new and emerging artists to the stage. From dance to music, original plays to experimental animation, the New Hazlett CSA pushes the boundaries of performance at every show.

"Our CSA provides the resources and support emerging artists need to create professional caliber work," says René Conrad, Executive Director of the New Hazlett Theater. "On the surface, it may seem like a regular subscription series, but underneath it is so much more. A share in the CSA doesn't just pay for a seat at a show, it directly contributes to the production of amazing new art."

Here's how it works: for $100, patrons become shareholders in the New Hazlett CSA. By purchasing a share they have a season pass to all five performances and get to experience the freshest, most original artists Pittsburgh has to offer. New for our program is a choice of two evening performances.

This year, the New Hazlett Theater CSA Performance Series is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, which has approved more than $82 million to fund local arts projects across the country.

The CSA Performance Series brings you a unique set of performance that includes Multicultural Jazz, Puppetry, Storytelling, Dance, and Contemporary Opera. The New Hazlett kicks off its sixth season this October and the lineup includes:

Migrant Liberation Movement Suite by Afro Yaqui Music Collective

Porto Domi by Felicia Cooper

You Can Call Me Al by Ali Hoefnagel

Dolina by Kasia Reilly

Her Holiness, The Winter Dog by Kamraton
