Shenot Farm Theater will be producing its debut show for this holiday season in Wexford: the timeless classic A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens. Adapted and directed by Justus White, A Christmas Carol will run in Shenot Farm's historic family barn on December 3, 4, 10, 11, 17 & 18, 2016.
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens was written in 1843 was an instant sell-out even well into its seventh edition. A timeless holiday classic following the curmudgeonly Ebenezer Scrooge, watching his transformation into a kinder, gentler soul after being visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve. Not to mention a haunting by his former partner, Jacob Marley, as well as the endearing Cratchits and loveable Fezziwigs. Some critics even believe that Dickens was inspired to write the story due to a trip to the Western Penitentiary in Pittsburgh just a year earlier.
This company debut production jumps straight into the holiday season with singing, laughs and merriment, all while accompanied by a beautiful hayride in the countryside coupled with Shenot Farm's hot apple cider and roasted/candied mixed nuts. Performed in Shenot Farm's historic barn, where audiences are interacting with each of the characters, this light-hearted comedy will be an overall delight.
A CHRISTMAS CAROL features: Justus White, Catherine White, and Michael R. Petyak.
This production is suggested for all friends and family who are looking to enjoy a holiday classic or looking to create a new family tradition.
