The next show at the Mountain Playhouse in Jennerstown is billed as a show the entire family will enjoy. Honus & Me, a play by Steven Dietz adapted from the book by Dan Gutman, tells the story of little league player Joey Stoshack who finds the most valuable baseball card in the world, the T-206 Honus Wagner - while cleaning out an elderly neighbors attic. However, Joey soon discovers the card's real value when it summons Honus himself, who escorts his young friend back in history to the 7th game of the 1909 World Series. There, Joey learns lessons about baseball, and himself that are priceless. The show runs June 16-28 with matinee and evening performances.

Producer Teresa Stoughton Marafino assures audience members that, "You don't have to be a baseball fan to appreciate the magic of this captivating family play that is set in Pittsburgh and weaves a magical tale of a real life Pittsburgh sports hero. Honus & Me is just a fun, feel good show that will enchant all ages."

Guy Stroman is directing the comedy, which stars Jeffrey Correia (Joey) and Paul Domencic (Honus). Correia received his BFA from New York University and attended the Tisch High School for the Performing Arts. (The "FAME" school). He was a member of the Mountain Playhouse resident acting company in 2003.

He is a graduate of The Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, has performed at various regional theaters including St. Michael's Playhouse, The Depot Theater, and The Pittsburgh CLO, and has appeared regularly on television's Guiding Light and One Life to Live.

Nick Ruggeri (Coach) marks his 17th consecutive season performing at the Mountain Playhouse. Other returning actors, including Barbara Russell (Miss Young), Larry Tobias (Dad), Ashley Puckett Gonzales (Mom) and Frank Taylor Green (Birdie), join him.

Carter Hudson (Pitcher) makes his Mountain Playhouse debut. He is a recent graduate of the SUNY Purchase Acting Conservatory.
