The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and its Department of Education and Community Engagement light up the Cultural District with its free and festive Gallery Crawl and Festival of Lights on Friday, October 1, 2010, from 5:30 - 9 p.m. This exhilarating arts open house showcases an array of activities throughout the Cultural District with the trademark, eclectic mix of visual art, dance, music and more. The Gallery Crawl is part of the 10-day celebration of the Allegheny Regional Asset District's RADical Days.

Spotlight events include the Eastern United States premiere of "Longplayer" as part of the Audio Space exhibit at Wood Street Galleries, the opening of the Festival of Lights at various locations throughout the District and an outdoor performance of Middle Eastern music, spoken word and bellydance jam in Katz Plaza.

All Gallery Crawl events are free and open to the public. For more information and a map of the Gallery Crawl events, visit pgharts.org or call (412) 456-6666. The Gallery Crawl in the Cultural District is sponsored by First Commonwealth with media support from City Paper and 91.3fm WYEP.
