A new biographical play about Pulitzer Prize winning playwright-director George S. Kaufman will have its world premiere at City Theatre in Pittsburgh during their 2010-2011 season.
LOUDER, FASTER is written by Eric Simonson and Jefferey Hatcher. In the play Kaufman is placed "at the center of his own Kaufman-like plot. The famed dramatist [1889-1961] returns to his Pittsburgh childhood home to cure a case of writer's block, only to find himself foiled at every turn by slamming doors, mistaken identities and a hilarious assortment of eccentric locals."
Casting and creative members have yet to be announced
