The Hill House Association (www.hillhouse.org) will present six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald in concert for one night only. The performance will begin at 8 p.m. tonight, April 15(th) at the landmark Byham Theater.
Ms. McDonald made Broadway history last year when she won a record-breaking sixth Tony Award for her mesmerizing portrayal of
Billie Holiday in Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill. Beyond the lights of New York City, Ms. McDonald has traveled from Los Angeles to Boston to Berlin performing as a soloist with the world's most prestigious orchestras.
The Grammy Award-winning singer and Emmy-nominated actress now returns to
the concert stage to lend her honeyed soprano vocals to favorite show tunes, popular standards, and songs from her latest album, Go Back Home. The evening promises to send audiences home with a song in their head and another in their heart.
"An Evening With
Audra McDonald" is presented in partnership with UPMC, UPMC Health Plan, Highmark, the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel and McAuley Ministries. Pittsburgh singer and songwriter Nikki Porter, who is widely regarded for her own vocal stylings, will serve as mistress of ceremonies for the event.
Tickets may be purchased online at
