The Pittsburgh CLO Guild today announced that Marie Ganassi will be honored with the 2nd Annual CLOE Award for Community Service at the 57th Annual Pittsburgh CLO Guild Ball on June 2 at the Westin Convention Center Hotel. The CLOE award was established in 2011 to recognize and celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions to our community.
Mrs. Ganassi was a beloved member of the Pittsburgh CLO Guild for 41 years and served as the Guild Treasurer for 28 years. In addition, she was a very active member of the Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church, adding her voice to their Chancel Choir, served as Secretary of the Fox Chapel Opera Guild and the Corresponding Secretary for the Twenty-Five Club. She joins Frank & Athena Sarris, who received the 1stCLOE Award last year, as recipient of this prestigious honor.
The 57th Annual Pittsburgh CLO Guild Ball, co-chaired by the mother-daughter team of Patti Matty and Kristen Lane, will be held on Saturday, June 2 at the Westin Convention Center Hotel Ballroom in downtown Pittsburgh. This year’s theme, “Come Fly With Me,” will transport guests to the era of vintage Frank Sinatra. The evening will include the annual sale of “Pink Boxes,” a raffle for $10,000 cash (maximum of 400 tickets sold) and a silent auction featuring luxury items, such as a trip to Grand Cayman. Guests will enjoy dynamic performances highlighting the 2012 Pittsburgh CLO Summer Season, topped off with dinner and dancing.
Proceeds from the Ball support Pittsburgh CLO’s arts education programs such as the Pittsburgh CLO Academy of Musical Theater, CLO Summer Internship Program and the CLO Mini-Stars. The Guild also offers college scholarship assistance to deserving students pursuing performing arts training.
