Shrek the ogre happily lives a life of solitude in his swamp, that is until Lord Farquaad banishes all fairytale creatures from the Kingdom of Dulac and they show up on his doorstep! Shrek and his new sidekick Donkey travel to Duloc to confront Lord Farquaad himself to regain privacy at his swamp. Lord Farquaad agrees to clear Shrek’s swamp on one condition; Shrek must rescue the lovely Princess Fiona from a dragon guarded tower and return her to Duloc for Lord Farquaad to marry. So begins the adventure that teaches Shrek about friendship, embracing what makes him special and of course, true love!
