The 90-minute musical, set in Cook's Women's Gym, follows the women as they go through the ups and downs of survival in a weight-and-beauty obsessed world.
WaistWatchers: The Musical takes a light-hearted look at four women singing about assorted body issues from dieting, exercise and plastic surgery to sex after 40 and the relentless search for a positive self image through 25 popular songs with parody lyrics.
"Be prepared to laugh off a few pounds!" wrote BroadwayWorld.com about Jacobson's adaptation of songs like "Botox Queen" to the tune of ABBA's Dancing Queen; "I Hope I Lose It" to the tune of I Hope I Get It from a Chorus Line; and "Viagra" to the tune of Maria from West Side Story.
Performances are 7 p.m. Wednesdays, 2 and 7 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays, 2 and 8 p.m. Saturdays and 2 and 6 p.m. on Sundays.
