From a special performance of Legally Blond to a foodie's tasting paradise and the chance to bid on trips from Maui to Manhattan, proceeds from Valley Youth Theatre's 14th annual fundraiser, The Most VYTal Event of the Season, will help fund important education and outreach programs and six mainstage productions for the 2012-13 season.
The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18 at the Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. Monroe, with hosted cocktails and heavy hors d'oeuvres from Valley restaurant and caterers and silent and live auctions. At 7:30, the 2011 VYTALITY Award (Valley Youth Theatre Applauds Leadership Impacting Today's Youth) will be presented. A special performance of Legally Blond will follow.
After the performance, dessert, champagne and coffee will be available.
A partial list of participating restaurants includes Flemings, America's Taco Shop, Circle H BBQ, Rose and Crown, Hob Nobbs, Café Boa, Sweet Tomatoes and Sweet Confections.
Individual seat tickets are $250 and premium seats are $500. A $1,500 package includes two premium seats and a full-page ad in the program. Additional sponsorships begin at $2,500.
