Continuing to "bring Broadway's favorites back to life", Scottsdale Musical Theater Company brings its latest offering – Stephen Sondheim's A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum for a special engagement one weekend only Friday, March 30th at 8:00PM continuing Saturday, March 31st at 2:00PM and 8:00PM and concluding Sunday, April 1st at 2:00PM. Performances will take place at the intimate 300-seat Dorrance Auditorium on the beautiful campus at Phoenix Country Day School (3901 E. Stanford Drive, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253).
Leading the talented cast are award-winning actors
Hector Coris (Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs 2010 Outstanding Vocalist and recent NYC transplant to Arizona) as Pseudolus and Matt Newhard(three-time Zoni Award winner) as Hysterium along with local stage favorites KatieBelle Collins as Domina,Bill Diekmann as Senex, Nathann Dunn as Hero,
Jennifer Alexander as Philia, Kelly Parker as Lycus, andJason Chacon as Miles Gloriosus. The entire production will be directed and staged by SMTC founder David Hock with Elizabeth Oates (now heading up Drama at Horizon High School) providing choreography andAdam Stich (Director of Music at Scottsdale Community College) conducting the full 18-piece live orchestra.
Tickets will be $24.50 with senior and student tickets available for $19.50. In addition, SMTC continues its association with area military veterans and their families by offering $10 tickets to any veteran or active military duty personnel and their families. Veterans and military will need to call or email to obtain the discount code to receive their special ticket price.
