Theatre Artists Studio will present CABARET, with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb and book by Christopher Isherwood. Directed by Shana Rebilas Bousard with musical director Joe Bousard, the show will run tonight, November 29 - December 15, 2013.

Set in Berlin in 1931, Cabaret focuses on the nightlife at the seedy Kit Kat Klub and revolves around the relationship of a young English Cabaret singer, Sally Bowles, and a young American writer, Cliff Bradshaw. We also see the poignant romance of the elderly Herr Schultz and Fraulein Schneider, and a few other colourful characters. Overseeing the action is the Master Of Ceremonies at the club, who acts as a metaphor for the threatening rise of the Nazi regime in Germany. Cabaret is a story about survival, and how each character chooses to withstand the changes they face. NOTE: The Studio will be performing a concert version of this show.

Cast: Brad Bond, Cynthia Elek, Tony Hodges, Matt MacDougall, Shana Rebilas Bousard, Tina Khalil, Diana Thompson, Dorothy Gaynor.
