This month the Theatre Artists Studio presents HOT. The dancers of 'Burns It Up' take the stage, followed by TML Arts' Shana Bousard, who burns bright with the vocal styles of Broadway, Jazz and Blues starting May 18th.
Including such numbers as Cell Block Tango, Hot Blooded and Too Darn Hot, the talented dancers of "Burns It Up" explore their readiness to live, love and dance as they physicalize the many connotations of the word 'Hot.' Founded in 2005 by Karen Burns, a former Radio City Music Hall Rockette, 'Burns It Up' is a non-profit organization based in Chandler offering classes and productions in support of various charities worldwide.
After the dancers, celebrate the New York Cabaret scene with Shana Bousard, co-founder of TML Arts. With a professional career that spans 20 years and a voice that promises to please, Shana invites you to step out of the taxi and into the cabaret hall, where the lights are dim and the tables set with a single flame. Reminiscent of the infamous "Don't Tell Mama" in the heart of Manhattan's Restaurant Row, Shana is joined by the talents of Joe Bousard on piano and Scott Hay on drums. According to Shana, "having performed several cabaret acts in New York City, there's nothing like bringing a bit of cabaret-nightlife to Scottsdale."
