Theater Works presents the comedic farce NOISES OFF opening October 7, 2016. Earning five Tony Award® nominations this year for the revival, Michael Frayn's play within a play is a hilarious send-up of the making of a stage production. An overly ambitious director and his troupe of journeyman actors and crew are putting together a silly, bawdy comedy titled, Nothing On - a single-set farce in which lovers frolic, doors slam, clothes are tossed away, and embarrassing hi-jinx ensue.

The three acts of Noises Off lay bare the making of Nothing On: Act One - On stage during dress rehearsal; Act Two - Backstage during a matinee performance; Act Three - On stage during a delightfully chaotic performance. "The most dexterously realized comedy ever about putting on a comedy. A spectacularly funny, peerless backstage farce. This dizzy, well-known romp is festival of delirium." - The New York Times.

Director Richard Powers Hardt has been directing, designing and writing for vAlley Theatres for almost 35 years. His most recent show for Theater Works was last season's Almost, Maine. Previous shows, All Through the Night and Dark of the Moon were both nominated for ariZoni Awards for Best Show, and he received an ariZoni for his Scenic Design for "Dark of the Moon".

The cast of nine sees the return of Amy Garland and Scott Hyder who also appeared in Almost, Maine and Glenn Parker and Janine Colletti from last season's hit Man of La Mancha. Bruce Laks, David Chorley, Toni Jourdan, and Kate Cameron round out the cast. Local actor Dylan Kim makes his Theater Works debut inNOISES OFF.

NOISES OFF will be on stage at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts October 7 - 23, 2016, the first of Theater Works' Master Works season. LOVE IS HERE TO STAY: A GERSHWIN CABARET, a celebration of the works of George and Ira Gershwin, crafted by our own Musical Director, Steve Hilderbrand along with Gary Gallner, opens November 4.
