YOUth Works proudly presents the holiday classic THE LITTLEST ANGEL. Directed by Shelly R. Trujillo, this timeless Christmas story of a little angel who is transformed from a celestial pest to the toast of the Heavenly Host is brought magically to life in this humorous, touching, and, above all, inspirational musical. Filled with melody and mirth, the story follows the adventures - and misadventures - of the Littlest Angel. This classic musical is an ideal holiday gift for both cast and audience. This musical is based on the book by Charles Tazewell; book and lyrics by Joseph Robinette; and music by Diane Leslie. THE LITTLEST ANGEL is performing in the McMillin Black Box through December 19th.

All the familiar characters of the endearing original story are included. Among them are the irascible, yet lovable, Gatekeeper (who also serves as narrator), the sympathetic Understanding Angel, the harried Heavenly Messenger, and, of course, the Celestial Choir. The charming score includes the engaging solos "Homesick" and "My Gift," the enchanting duet, "The Little Things," a variety of ensemble numbers ranging from the humorous "Have You Met the Littlest Angel?" to the triumphant "Sound the Harp and Horn!" and, finally, the "heavenly" title song "The Littlest Angel."

Directed by Shelly R. Trujillo, a third generation Arizona native, this is her first foray in directing a children's show. She is incredibly grateful for the amazing cast and crew she's been given the opportunity to work with. She spent most of her developmental years studying Classical Voice under the guidance of Darin Shryock. She also served as the Resident Musical Director for Insurrection Theater Company where she performed in Holiday Cheer and Twisted Fairy Tales - The Musical, both original musical productions, as well as The Taboo Festival.

Keith Wilson as the Littlest Angel (Left Blue Robe) and Skyler Washburn as the Heavenly Gate Keeper (Right Gold Robe)
