Theater Works concludes the 2016-17 PuppetWorks season with a revival of last season's underwater blacklight adventure SEA OF IMAGINATION. Sammy the star falls from the sky and lands under the sea. His underwater adventures take him places he's never been and he meets new sea creatures. On his quest, he discovers that home is where the heart is. PuppetWorks Productions are performed in the black light style of puppetry causing the puppets, scenery and even the audience to glow. SEA OF IMAGINATION is on the Gyder stage with performances at 10:30am and noon on April 8, 15 and 22.
Each 40-minute show includes a post-show tutorial on the puppets used in the show and a brief overview of puppetry manipulation. After the show there is an option for a make-and-take workshop where audience members can make their own simple puppet to take home with them. Productions are geared towards audience members ages 3-8, but are enjoyed by all.
Tickets for Sea of Imagination are now on sale. General admission tickets are just $8. The production takes place in the Gyder Theater of the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts (8355 West Peoria Avenue, Peoria, AZ 85345).
