The Nash kicks off with a wide array of summer concerts and workshops. Highlights include Joey Sellers Quartet on June 10 and
Rachel Eckroth's Antelog on June 16. Public performances from students participating in the Nash summer workshops will be held during the month as well as a discussion on history of jazz from noted ASU scholar, Dr.
Chris Wells on June 18.

Hot Dogs & Jazz is a great opportunity for children and families to enjoy a fun program about jazz - the music born in America and found in Hip-Hop and other popular music. Join us Saturday morning, June 3rd, as our accomplished musicians demonstrate different instruments and styles of jazz, and give kids a chance to move and sing to the music. Andy Galore Quartet: Galore-bass, Shea Marshall-keys, sax, and everything else, Special Guest-piano, Emerson Laffey-drums The show will feature Andy's music, an organic blend of Jazz, Blues, Funk, Rock and World music. In addition, the show will include exciting new arrangements of Jazz Classics. Andy Galore, a much in demand bassist on the New York scene whose solid groove has powered the bands of icons across multiple genres, steps out as a leader, arranger and composer of note with Out & About (December 2, 2014), his debut on Motéma Music. With rich musicality and powerful chops, Galore has developed a distinctive style and an impressive musician network over his twenty years as an inner-circle player in New York City. Out & About, an arresting and musically varied opus, is inspired by and reflects his deep love of New York City, a vast array of talented musicians, and the many different genres and styles Galore has mastered over the years.

An accomplished composer in both jazz and classical idioms, trombonist Joey Sellers has written for
Doc Severinsen, the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, symphony orchestras in Tulsa, Long Beach and San Antonio Symphonies. A
Phoenix native, he spent many years in New York where he played and recorded with many notable jazz artists, with the New York Times commenting, "Sellers is one of few composers whose ideas actually press into new shapes; it's not just a half dozen soloists coloring a big band core."
The Village Voice states simply, "There's little typical about his pen." Sellers comes to
The Nash to perform a concert featuring his original compositions.
