A raucous comedy from one of America's most outrageous playwrights Charles Busch! This hilarious tale is that of New York dilettante Marjorie Taub, a middle-aged doctor's wife, hooked on culture - mornings at the Whitney, afternoons at MOMA and evenings at BAM. Plunged into a mid-life crisis of Medea-like proportions; her children are grown, her beloved therapist recently died and her mother, obsessed with bowel-movements, grates on her nerves. She's shaken out of her lethargy by the reappearance of a fascinating childhood friend, but is this friend real or fantasy? Featuring two professional Actors Equity Association performers in leading roles, Robyn Allen and Gene Ganssle this production is sure to have audiences returning for more! Winner of 3 Tony Awards including Best Play and 2 Drama Desk Awards including Outstanding New Play THE TALE OF THE ALLERGIST'S WIFE performs on the Mary Jane Gyder main stage from October 1st - 17th.
