Arizona Broadway Theatre (ABT) brings the critically acclaimed, musical powerhouse The Secret Garden to life April 11 - May 11. Tickets for the three-time Tony Award-winning production can be purchased now at azbroadway.org or by calling the ABT box office at (623) 776-8400.

Based on the 1911 novel of the same name, the musical is known for its rich score and beautiful melodies that are both enchanting and haunting. The story of enduring love and hope joins the audience with Mary Lennox, portrayed on the ABT stage in a shared role by young Valley performers Madeline Alfano, Morgan Goldberg and Lizzie Tuten, a sudden-orphan sent to live with her reclusive Uncle Archibald on his mysterious English estate. When she is summoned to a neglected garden on the grounds, Mary discovers the magic and secrets within.

"Upon hearing the lush and sophisticated score, it will be clear why The Secret Garden is on so many people's list of favorite musicals," said Andy Meyers, director of The Secret Garden. The themes of loss, love and discovery are timeless and relatable. You can not help but feel the emotions being delivered by these incredible performers."

Meyers, who has directed (Seven Brides; Winter Wonderettes) and performed (Kiss Me, Kate; Sound of Music) at ABT previously, guides a stellar cast of 24 professional performers - including six children. In addition to Alfano, Goldberg and Tuten in the role of Mary, Christian Bader, Tommy Cimato and Asher Angel will portray Colin Craven. The adult performances will be lead by Kaitlynn Kleinman (Into the Woods) in the role of Lily and ABT newcomer Matthew Charles Thompson as Uncle Archibald Craven. Jesse Berger (Joseph...; 9 to 5) will also return to the ABT stage as Archibald's brother Dr. Neville Craven. The complete cast list can be found at azbroadway.org.

Tickets are on sale now for evening and matinee performances. Prices vary according to date, time and availability. Secret Garden is a family-friendly production, with some mature themes. For more information about Arizona Broadway Theatre, and to purchase tickets contact the box office at (623) 776-8400 or visit azbroadway.org.
