Among her 6 concert offerings, Spider Saloff's, "The Memory of All That" is one of the rare, officially sanctioned acts of the Gershwin Centennial. Her other shows also celebrate many of the writers of the American songbook and some original material.
Over two years ago, Spider played her one-woman show "The Roar of the Butterfly" at Celebration Theater in West Hollywood for a successful one-week sold-out run and also a sold-out performance of "Deep In A Dream" in San Francisco at the Jazz Heritage Center. For the forthcoming dates in California and Arizona, Spider will perform all music featuring songbook classics and holiday tunes with a twist.
As a guest vocalist, Ms. SALOFF has performed with symphony orchestras across the country. She had the honor of performing the American Premiere of "So This Is Love", a newly discovered song by the great Billy Strayhorn. Saloff received a special citation for her musical contributions from NARAS (the presenter of the Grammy Awards). Spider Saloff has recorded and performed with jazz luminaries as the late great Les Paul, and current stars, Michael Feinstein, Mark Murphy and Dick Hyman.
