Continuing its tradition of bringing Broadway's favorites back to life, SMTC has announced its next production, the classic musical Man of La Mancha, for a special engagement. Performances will take place at the intimate 300-seat Dorrance Auditorium on the beautiful campus at Phoenix Country Day School (3901 E. Stanford Drive, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253). This full production of will feature an incredible cast and a full live orchestra, a rarity in town.

Show dates are:

• TONIGHT, December 27th @ 7:30PM
• Friday, December 28th @ 8:00PM
• Saturday, December 29th @ 8:00PM
• Sunday, December 30th @ 2PM

AaRon Jacobson, who portrayed Tevye with such depth and passion in SMTC's Fiddler on the Roof, will return to bring the iconic role of Don Quixote back to life in splendid fashion. Plus, 2012 AriZoni Award nominee Hector Coris, who brilliantly starred as Pseudolus in SMTC's production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, will play his comical sidekick, Sancho and Alexus Poulette will be making her SMTC debut as the fiery Aldonza. Four-time AriZoni Award winner Matt Newhard will portray the Padre and national tour stage veteran Ron Jennings will portray the Governor/Innkeeper. Patrick Salazar is cast as Dr. Carrasco, Nicole Bond is Antonia, Cantor Melissa Berman is The Housekeeper and Jonathan Brown is the Barber.

The 1965 Tony Award-winning musical, written by Dale Wasserman with music by Mitch Leigh and lyrics by Joe Darion, and contains the classic songs "The Impossible Dream", "Dulcinea" and "Little Bird" will be directed and choreographed by SMTC executive producer and theatre veteran, David Hock. The 18-piece orchestra will be conducted by Tim Verville.

Reserved seating tickets are now on sale for $24.50 with senior and student discounted tickets available for $19.50. Special ticket pricing for groups of 15 or more. Tickets can be purchased on-line at the company's website, www.scottsdalemusicaltheater.com or by calling (602) 909-4215.
