SITI Company's culminating performance of their three year residency at ASU Gammage will take a look at American life during the past 50 years through the inspirational paintings of Norman Rockwell as they present UNDER CONSTRUCTION on April 18, 2009. Just as the title describes, this piece is a testament to a nation forever unfinished, influenced by performance art, movies, short stories, songs, dances and moments from daily life, constantly under construction.

Since 2006, SITI has made three trips to Arizona State University (ASU) to work with the theater and dance departments. They have also created educational activities to connect with the ASU and local community and have presented an annual performance at ASU Galvin Playhouse.

SITI Company is led by Artistic Director Anne Bogart and has an emphasis on international cultural exchange and collaboration and believes that contemporary American theater must incorporate artists from around the world and learn from the resulting cross-cultural exchange of dance, music, art and performance experiences.

Tickets are on sale now and are available at ASU Gammage, Ticketmaster and showup.com. 480.965.3434. asugammage.com. UNDER CONSTRUCTION is presented as part of the Beyond series at ASU Gammage.

Located on the Tempe campus of Arizona State University, ASU Gammage is among the largest university-based presenters of performing arts in the world. ASU Gammage is the home theater of M&I Bank Broadway Across America - Arizona and the ASU Gammage Beyond series. Its mission is to connect communities through artistic excellence and educational outreach. ASU Gammage is an historic hall designed by internationally renowned architect, Frank Lloyd Wright.
