High School students have the opportunity to get first-hand advanced experience with theatre professionals in voice, movement, acting, classical styles, dance and backstage skills during Arizona Theatre Company's Summer on Stage Program, June 27 to July 29.
Students in the program will spend the first three weeks at the University of Arizona School of Theatre Arts where they will be mentored by ATC staff and professional teaching artists in either onstage or backstage skills and techniques.
Registration is now open for the intensive five-week program. Tuition for Summer On Stage is $850 through May 27 and $950 after; cost for Summer Backstage is $350 until May 27 and $450 after. Registration closes on June 17.

Students in the Summer On Stage program will be cast in a program-concluding fully produced production on the main stage at the Temple of Music and Art, 333 S. Scott Ave. in downtown Tucson.
Students choosing Summer Backstage will work with professionals in lighting, costumes, set construction and stage management and will train to work backstage for one of the three program-ending productions.
The program runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, except on July 4, with an hour for lunch each day. Performances are scheduled July 27, 28 and 29 at 7 p.m.
