Prescott Fine Arts Association is partnering with the Prescott Public Library to present Reader's Theatre performances free to the public. CUSTER AND FRIENDS will be performed on Sunday, September 20th in the Library's Founders Suite at 2 p.m.
Written and directed by Robert Wiltsey, the setting and symbolic meaning of this play center on the conflict between the American settlers and Native Americans, in the natural setting of the American prairie. You will see human will and emotion from both ends of this spectrum. The play includes graphic, historical descriptions which may not be appropriate for children.
Reader's Theatre performances offer play readings without the sets and full costumes of a stage performance, offering audiences an intimate atmosphere and challenging directors and actors with their minimal setting.
These performances complement PFAA's mission statement, which in part is to provide opportunities for members of the greater community to participate in the arts and contribute to the education, quality of life and economic vitality of Arizona.
