Prescott Center for the Arts to Host Improv Theatre Class, 10/7-12/9

Prescott Center for the Arts will host an improv theatre class, Mondays, October 7 through December 9, 5:15 - 6:30 at Stage Too! (Ages 15 and up). Cost: $200. Instructor: Rob White (lampoonytoons3@msn.com).

Participants will learn the art of improvisation through games, scenarios, creative suggestions, and strengthening their comic mojo. Shortly after the class concludes, there will be auditions for the upcoming PCA Improvisation troupe called, "The Imporvitonians', led by instructor Rob White Those taking the Improv class will be given stronger consideration for casting in the Troupe. The class will be videotaped from time to time for illustrative feedback. The final class "Final Showdown" will be a performance in Stage Too. Each student upon completion will receive a DVD of their performance. $200

Robert White has been performing onstage since the early age of five. When he was seven he started doing impressions of famous people and realized he had the ability to make people laugh, labeled a "Class Clown" he found that he even had teachers laughing. In fifth grade he created Lazlo T. Cumberbun an alter ego that allowed him to create comedy skits and perform for the kids on his block. Growing up with magazines like National Lampoon, Mad, and shows like Saturday Night Live fueled his need for parody, In high school he started writing song parodies and performing at school functions, it was during play production he discovered Improvisation, he quickly put together Lazlo T. Cumberbun and Associates and started performing Improv. Most recently he performed in Billy Bob's Improve Theatre.
