In an effort to offer young theatre goers and families the best experience possible, Phoenix Theatre's Cookie Company has expanded and relocated to the historic StageBush Theatre in Scottsdale.
This move helps connect all of Phoenix Theatre's youth related programming as well as further educational opportunities under one roof in Scottsdale. Phoenix Theatre' Cookie Company will be joining Greasepaint Youtheatre (youth performing on stage) as well as other Phoenix Theatre educational components including QSpeak and various drama camps and workshops. Robert Kolby Harper continues as the Artistic Director for Cookie Company while also taking on the Artistic Directing role for Greasepaint Youtheatre. A. Beck, who joined Phoenix Theatre in May, oversees Phoenix Theatre's growing education program.
This move means a bigger stage, more seating, a bigger lobby and an overall better theatergoing experience for our young patrons and families."Growth during these uncertain economic times seems almost impossible but I believe it is necessary," Harper said. "It challenges us to be a little bolder and a little more creative. But most of all, it inspires us to have a lot more fun. I hope you join us during this landmark season to celebrate laughter, love and cookies."Cookie Company productions will be performed on the StageBush Theatre located at 7020 E. 2nd St. in Scottsdale.
Cinderella Confidential opens the Cookie Company season on October 24. If You Give a Mouse a Cookie will return by popular demand in January 2010. Tickets are available online at cookiecompany.org or by calling the box office at 602.254.2151. The Target Family Series provides discounts during select Cookie Company performances.
