Phoenix Theatre Ensemble presents Songs in the Key of Giggles: A FUN CONCERT PLUS SONGWRITING WORKSHOP!

Starring Katelyn Collins, Martha Gannon, Madison Celeste James, Joe Menino, with Composer and Lyricist Ellen Mandel on piano! Directed and Choreographed by Jeremy Williams, 11 AM & 1 PM on Monday, February 20 (President’s Day) at The Wild Project: 195 East 3rd Street (between Aves A & B). Subway: F or V to 2nd Avenue or L to 14th Street.

President’s Day is just around the corner! The kids off from school, a whole day with nothing to do---how can you entertain them?

Treat them and yourself to a concert and songwriting workshop with composer/lyricist Ellen Mandel! The cast of talented actors and singers will delight audiences with hits from Grimm’s and Giggles/Phoenix for the Family shows, including favorites from Puss in Boots, Little Red, The Three Pigs, The Emperor’s New Clothes and The Toymaker’s Apprentice.

Then, Ellen, playwright Kathy Menino, and cast members will conduct a lively songwriting workshop for the audience, guiding young and older composers in writing and singing a song of their own! When we finish the song, everyone will record it, and we’ll post it for all to hear on the Phoenix for the Family website. These performances and this program is made possible in part with support through New Music USA's MetLife Creative Connections program.
All tickets are Pay-What-You-Can at the door, or $9 for reserved tickets (available one week prior to the show) at www.phoenixtheatreensemble.org or call 212-352-3101. TDF vouchers welcome.

Call 212-465-3446 for group sales. Phoenix for the Family productions are a fun part of a birthday party or group event.

Phoenix Theatre Ensemble, now in its 8th season is a resident ensemble company and a member of the Network of Ensemble Theatres: Brian Costello, Kelli Hollsopple, Kathy Menino, Joseph Menino, Craig Smith, Elise Stone, and Amy Wagner: Co-Artistic Directors.
