The Grammy award-winning Phoenix Chorale brings its delightful tradition, A Chorale Christmas, for concerts around the Valley.

This year, the Chorale will celebrate the holidays with special contemplation of the world's most iconic carol, Silent Night. Truly one of the most familiar and beloved of all holiday hymns, Silent Night, or Stille Nacht, was first penned in 1816 for a small pilgrimage church in Austria.

Commemorating this 200th anniversary, Phoenix Chorale's Christmas program will be filled with unique arrangements of this evocative hymn, conjuring peaceful images for the holiday season.
A Chorale Christmas will also feature inspiring holiday selections from Kenneth Leighton, Philip Stopford, Michael McGlynn, Palestrina, and Poulenc as well as familiar favorites like "I'll Be Home for Christmas."

The Phoenix Chorale holiday concerts have become a tradition for the Valley - proving "It just isn't Christmas until you've heard us sing!"

Performances of A Chorale Christmas are Dec 16 - 20. Tickets are $34 adults, $15 students and $29 for seniors (65 and older) and Active Duty Military. (Please note: tickets are $5 more on the day of show.) Tickets may be purchased by calling 602-253-2224 or online at www.phoenixchorale.org.

Under the skilled hand of Phoenix Chorale Artistic Director Charles Bruffy, audiences experience the exquisite artistry that has made the Phoenix Chorale an international sensation, and favorite of classical music lovers worldwide. The 28-member group of highly-trained singers brings a precision and passion to their performances that is unmatched, garnering eight Grammy nominations and three wins.

In 2004, the Phoenix Chorale became the first North American choir to record for the U.K.'s prestigious Chandos Records and since then, the Chorale's recordings have earned a total of ten GRAMMY nominations and three GRAMMY wins. The Phoenix Chorale is ensemble in residence at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in downtown Phoenix and is sponsored in parth through grants and funding from the Arizona Commission on the Arts and Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture.
