Using everyday, ordinary objects such as tree stumps, pieces of wood found in lakes and the desert, glass bottles recovered from dump sites; salvaged metal objects; and old fabric scraps to create art has a long tradition. These are possible subjects or materials for the artwork to be shown in "The Beauty of Common Things." Artists will be taking another look at everyday things to find an unexpected surprise in a common object, place or element of nature, or they will be honoring a thing of beauty as it is. Others will use shapes, textures, and the colors of things around them for inspiration.
Opening reception is February 25th from 5-7 PM, and the March 25th Friday Art Walk is from 5-7 PM which includes complimentary hand and foot massages by Audrey Hoke of Beauticontrol. Drop in to check out the art and browse the new gift shop selections.
