Having performed in over 15 countries with a combined audience of over three million,  TAO takes the stage at Mesa Arts Center Friday, Feb. 19, at 7:30 p.m. in the Ikeda Theater.

TAO will bring a heart pounding performance to Mesa Arts Center. Athletic bodies and contemporary costumes meet explosive Taiko drumming and innovative choreography in this show that involve precision, energy, and stamina. With hundreds of sold-out shows and more than a million spectators, TAO has proven that modern entertainment based on the traditional art of Japanese drumming has massive international appeal.

TAO truly beats to the sound of its own drum by modernizing the traditional Japanese Taiko drum into an explosive musical performance like no other. Tao members stretch physical boundaries with their beautifully sculpted bodies, unparalleled choreography, and supreme rhythm that have captivated audiences around the world. Hailed in Japan for being the "Japanese Taiko Group with a difference," TAO took its unmatched success to the world famous "Edinburgh Fringe Festival" in 2004; of the 1800 most successful artists in the world that contributed, TAO topped the rest in ticket sales; therefore establishing themselves as one of the best shows in the world.

Tickets are $18-$38 and are available through the Mesa Arts Center Box Office at mesaartscenter.com or by calling 480-644-6500.
