On Friday, February 12, Mesa Arts Center presents Grammy Award winning Los Lonely Boys. Their unique songwriting abilities and their unrivaled musicianship took them to the top of the charts and now brings them to Mesa Arts Center.
Tickets are $32 and are available through the Mesa Arts Center Box Office at mesaartscenter.com or by calling 480-644-6500.
Los Lonely Boys (guitarist Henry Garza and his siblings, bassist Jojo and drummer Ringo Jr.) hit the ground running in 2003 with their triple-platinum self-titled debut release, winning a Grammy for its No. 1 global hit Heaven. Their influences are legion, ranging from Buddy Guy and Stevie Ray Vaughan to mentors Santana and Willie Nelson, but in the end, it's about brotherhood. The trio has musical dynamics and vocal harmonies that can only come with genetic bonds. They are joined by Alejandro Escovedo, who has journeyed through several musical incarnations in his 20-plus-year career from punk rock to string quintets. Carrie Rodriguez is a feisty fiddle-playing, mandoguitar-slinging singer/songwriter from Brooklyn who adds some "chica" to the Brotherhood.
