Hale Centre Theatre is proud to bring you a summer of magic and adventure with the acclaimed Broadway musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! Playing July 5th, 2019 through August 17th, 2019. Directed and Choreographed by Cambrian James, with Musical Direction by Lincoln Wright.

Go on a fantastic musical adventure with Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, a magical family car that not only sails the seas, but flies through the air! Based on the beloved 1968 film version of Ian Fleming's children's book, and featuring an unforgettable score by The Sherman Brothers (Mary Poppins) and book by Jeremy Sams, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is one family-friendly hit that audiences will find "Truly Scrumptious."

Caractacus Potts, an eccentric inventor, rescues and restores an old race car from a scrap heap after his children, Jeremy and Jemima, beg him to save it. Potts sees the magical properties of the car, now lovingly named Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and he and the children set off for a fun family picnic. However, trouble occurs when the evil Baron Bomburst desires the magic car for himself. Sending his two bumbling spies, Boris and Goran, the baron accidentally kidnaps the dotty Grandpa Potts, thinking he was the car's inventor! Caractacus and the children, along with the delectable Truly Scrumptious, head to Vulgaria to rescue Grandpa! Together they work to outwit the dastardly Baron and Baroness and their villainous henchman, the Child Catcher. With a fantastical flying car, a heartwarming love story, and unforgettable songs, including the Academy Award-nominated title song, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a high-flying, fun-filled adventure for the entire family.

The cast features Rob Stuart (Caractacus Potts), Amanda Valenzuela (Truly), Matthew Harris (Grandpa), Bennett Smith (Jeremy), Ellie Sachs (Jamima) Raymond Barcelo (Baron Bomburst), Alaina Beauloye (Baroness Bomburst), Andrew Stachurski (Boris), Allan DeWitt (Goran), Daniel Lopez (Child Catcher), Benjamin Harris (Toymaker), with an all-star ensemble including: Ariana Lucius, Ethan Maxwell, Chris Reah, Vaughn Sherman, Carmiña Garey, Emily Woodward-Shaw, Anne-Lise Koyabe, and Hunter Cuison.
