Givenik.com, the revolutionary new way to go to Broadway (and save the world!) has amassed a sizable roster of theater organizations eager to take part in the new ticketing service’s benefits.  Since Givenik.com was launched, more than 35 theatrical charities have become members, it was announced by Jordan Roth, Vice President, Jujamcyn Theaters.  The appeal of Givenik.com reaches far beyond the New York City metropolitan area, with organizations from Arizona to Maine (and all points in between) signing on.

At Givenik.com, theatergoers can give and get by getting discounted tickets to dozens of Broadway and Off Broadway shows while simultaneously giving back to charity as 5% of their ticket price goes directly to the not-for-profit organization of their choice.  Any certified non-profit organization can sign up to be a part of Givenik.com for free and develop a new, year-round fundraising mechanism.

NYC area theater organizations benefitting from Givenik.com include: Amas Musical Theatre, Ardea Arts/Family Opera Initiative, Atlantic Theatre Company, Big Apple Circus, City Island Theater Group, City Lights Youth Theatre, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Inside Broadway, LAByrinth Theatre Company, Manhattan Theatre Club, Musicals Tonight! Inc., National Corporate Theatre Fund, New York Musical Theatre Festival, Our Time Theatre Company, Second Stage Theatre, TADA! Youth Theatre, The Actors Fund, The New Victory Theatre/The New 42nd Street, The York Theatre Company, Theater Garden, Ltd., WET Women’s Expressive Theatre and the Vineyard Theatre, among others.

Theatre companies beyond the metropolitan area include: Asolo Repertory Theatre (Sarasota, FL), Capital Repertory Theatre (Albany, NY), Fountain Hills Community Theatre (Fountain Hills, AZ), Harford Stage (Hartford, CT), Maine State Music Theatre (Brunswick, ME), McCarter Theatre (Princeton, NJ), Music Theatre for Young People (Lenexa, KS), New Jersey Repertory Company (Manasquan, NJ), Penobscot Theatre Company (Bangor, ME), Play Group Theatre (Larchmont, NY), Sleepy Hollow Performing Artists (Sleepy Hollow, NY) and the Soulstice Theatre (Oak Creek, WI).

"It is extremely gratifying to welcome so many wonderful non-profit theaters to our program.  In addition to seeing the shows presented by these exciting organizations, theatergoers can now support their work by purchasing tickets to any of the Broadway and Off Broadway shows on Givenik.com,” said Jordan Roth.

At present, more than 150 organizations (and counting) have joined Givenik.com, from national groups to local chapters, and from arts organizations to educational institutions.  Among them are Human Rights Campaign, Dress for Success Worldwide, God’s Love We Deliver, The Actors Fund, Central Park Conservancy, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, People for the American Way, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Creative Alternatives of New York, Manhattan Theatre Club, local chapters of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers / Big Sisters, as well as community PTA’s and temples.

Those theatergoers interested in becoming a “givenik” and charitable organizations and school groups interested in joining can simply go to www.givenik.com for more information.
