East Valley Children's Theatre Announces Auditions

The East Valley Children's Theatre announces its auditions, which will consist of:

PUSS 'N BOOTS
Winner of EVCT's 2009 Aspiring Playwriting Contest

Mon., Jan. 3 or Tues., Jan. 4
5:00pm: Ages 8-11
7:00pm: Ages 12-18

Auditions will consist of dancing, movement, and reading from the script.
No advance preparation or appointment necessary.
Bring a photo and come dressed for movement.

EVCT TROUPES

EVCT Express: Ages 8-16

Sat., Jan. 8, 1:30pm and 2:15pm

This troupe takes a title to a show and creates a script through improvisation
which is rehearsed and performed in the community.
Express meets on Thursdays from 4:30-6:30pm for 14 weeks.
Cost: $95

Intergenerational Theatre Troupe: Ages 12-18

Mon., Jan. 10, 5:00pm

IGT interviews senior citizens, writes monologues and scenes from the stories they gather,
rehearse and perform in the retirement community.
IGT meets on Thursdays from 6:30-8:30pm for 14 weeks.
Cost: $95

On the Spot Improv Troupe: Ages 12-18

Tues., Jan. 11, 5:00pm

OTS presents improvisational programs at a variety of locations,
making up their performance on the spot with audience participation.
OTS meets on Tuesdays from 6:00-8:00pm for 14 weeks.
Cost: $95

EVCT Bravo: Ages 8-18

Wed., Jan. 12: 5:00pm

This musical theatre troupe performs songs from Broadway musicals
at a variety of locations throughout the East Valley.
Bravo meets on Wednesdays from 5:00-7:00pm for 14 weeks.
Cost: $110
Audition will include singing and dancing, no advance preparation necessary.

All auditions will take place in the EVCT rehearsal studio located at 4830 E. Main St., Mesa (between Greenfield and Higley on the north side of the street in Arden Square).

There is NO cost to audition.
