Join Theater Works and Ballet Academy of Arizona as they present the first annual children's NUTCRACKER Ballet. This unique and magical opportunity is open to all children ages 3 - 18 and dance experience is not required. Preregister for 10 weeks of dancing, coaching and acting lessons with the renowned Caroline Atkinson, owner of Ballet Academy of Arizona. Following the lessons the children will perform the NUTCRACKER production in the gorgeous New York City Ballet costumes at Theater Works on November 26th and 27th at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. This children's extravaganza is a priceless and unforgettable experience that will bring the NUTCRACKER Ballet alive in the hearts of the children who take part and family and friends who are spellbound watching them on stage!
Caroline Atkinson will choreograph the ballet and the children will experience the joy of becoming Party Children, Little Mice, Soldiers, Snowflakes, Angels, Candy Canes, Sugar Plum Fairies, Flowers and Dewdrops in this timeless Holiday classic. Ms. Atkinson brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to the NUTCRACKER Ballet. With over 24 years of teaching and dancing experience including extensive training with the Royal Academy of Dance in London and a Practical Teaching Supervisor with the Royal Academy of Dance in the USA, Ms. Atkinson is well versed in the art of dance. She also has degrees in Child Psychology and Development and Anatomy and Kinesiology.
The coaching and acting lessons will take place in the West Valley. Advanced registration is required and space is limited so do not delay. Exact times for the lessons and costume fittings will be emailed to parents closer to the date. Costume Fittings will take place this Saturday, September 11th.
