Come and see the best of the best at Canyon Moon Theatre! The Flagstaff Arts & Leadership Academy will be bringing the top three plays from their third annual Fringe Fest to Canyon Moon on Saturday, January 7 at 7pm. What better way to kick off the New Year than with the three plays voted best of the Fringe by an audience of over 300 ballots?
Experience an exciting taste of theatre with "Arrhythmia," a meditation on love by Blake Swanson; "Too Close to the Sun," by Corey Wegwert, a look into the lives of three celebrities who died too young; and "Invitation," by Rose Delaibau, a piece about a man accused of a crime which he committed out of love. The top two plays will be developed further and applying for entrance into the Phoenix and Tucson Fringe Festivals. Mike Levin, head of theatre at the Flagstaff Arts & Leadership Academy, and Mary Guaraldi of CMT have been looking for an opportunity to present the work of FALA students to the Canyon Moon audience. Mike has been a fixture at CMT since the first season appearing in such shows as Sylvia, Fiction and The Importance of Being Earnest. "It is a pleasure to have his students appear on the Canyon Moon stage. Their creativity and talent are extraordinary," said Guaraldi. The Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy is an educational community for high school students committed to academic excellence in the arts, sciences and humanities.Videos
