The national tour of Off-Broadway's zany comedy whodunit two-man musical, Murder For Two, launches this month at the Temple of Music and Art, 330 S. Scott Ave., from Nov. 29th to Dec. 20th. Arizona Theatre Company's 2014-14 is sponsored by I. Michael and Beth Kasser.
Making their Arizona Theatre debut with Murder For Two are director Scott Schwartz, Joe Kinosian (The Suspects, Book & Music), and Ian Lowe (Marcus), from the off-Broadway production.
Murder For Two, according to the New York Times, is "ingenious! A snazzy double-act that spins out a comic mystery animated by funny, deftly turned songs." Kinosian and Kellen Blair (Book & Lyrics), with their mutual love for Agatha Christie and the Marx Brothers, blend together classical music comedy and mystery. Audiences will laugh as they are shown the story of the small town officer, Marcus Moscowicz, as he solves the fatal murder of the Great American Novelist Arthur Whiteney.
Total running time for Murder For Two is 90 minutes. Tickets start at $37 and can be purchased at www.arizonatheatre.org, or by calling the box office at (520) 622-2823. Discounts are available for active military members and seniors. Student tickets are also available for $10 at all performances.
