Time Stands Still closes out Actors Theatre's 2011-2012 season on Stage West at The Herberger Theater Center, tonight, May 11 through May 27.

The Tony Award-nominated Time Stands Still explores the lives and intertwined relationships of two couples looking at life-changing decisions at a critical time in all four lives.

Directed by Matthew Wiener and featuring two of the Valley's most-acclaimed performers, Rusty Ferracane and Ben Tyler, the play follows photojournalist Sarah (Anne Marie Falvey) and her foreign correspondent partner James (Ferracane) and their friend, Richard (Tyler), Sarah's photo editor, who has become involved with a much-younger woman, Mandy (Kerry McCue).

Time Stands Still takes place during Sarah's recuperation following her near death while covering the war in Iraq.  James, who battles his own demons after suffering a breakdown during his war-coverage assignment, recently brought Sarah back from a hospital in Germany.  The relationship between Richard, Sarah's former love interest, and Mandy, adds an interesting dynamic to the conflicts James and Sarah face in trying to redirect their lives.

Crew members for the show are David Castellano, set design; Connie Furr, costumes; Tim Monson, lighting; Brian Honsberger, sound; and Courtney Weir, makeup.

Tickets are $20.50 to $43.50 and are on sale through www.actorstheatrephx.org or The Herberger Theater Box Office, 222 E. Monroe, or by calling(602) 252-8497.

The Capital Grille restaurant at The Biltmore Fashion Park is offering a special pre-fixe dinner on each day Time Stands Still will be performed.  When making reservations for the $39 per-person dinner, just mention The Actors Theatre menu.  For information about dinner choices, visit www.atphx.org.

This summer, Actors Theatre and Desert Foothills Theater, in association with Centennial Theatre Foundation, will present The Wallace & Ladmo Show, a play by Ben Tyler based on the record-setting iconic television show that ran in Arizona for 35 years.  The show will run from June 1-17 as part of Actors Theatre's new summer stage productions.
