SMTC presents one of the most beloved musicals of all time, Fiddler on the Roof, for a special engagement. Performances will take place at the intimate 300-seat Dorrance Auditorium on the beautiful campus at Phoenix Country Day School (3901 E. Stanford Drive, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253). This full production of Fiddler on the Roof will feature an incredible cast and a full live orchestra, a rarity in town. Show dates are tonight, August 16th at 7:30PM; Friday, August 17th at 8PM; Saturday, August 18th at 8PM and concluding Sunday, August 19th at 2PM.

AaRon Jacobson as Tevye (Valley stage veteran who just seen performing in The Wallace & Ladmo Show at the Herberger); Michele Kahn as Golde (coming back to the stage after a 15 year break from performing on stage in NY, national and international tours); Petey Swartz as Yenta (long time Valley stage veteran as a performer and director); Matt Newhard as Motel (3 time AriZoni award winner); Ron Jennings as Lazar Wolf (veteran actor who spent more than 25 years on stage as the King in national and regional tours of The King and I); Jennifer Alexander as Hodel (long time Valley stage performer); Maddie Stern as Chava (multiple starring roles at Valley Youth Theater and Phoenix Country Day School); Devra Hock as Tzeidel (regular performer for SMTC and at Phoenix Country Day School); Michael Koester Hestand as Perchik (has performed in many shows for Mesa Community College and at Mesa Arts Center); Amy Beck as Fruma Sarah (long time Valley stage performer and voice teacher)

The production will be directed and staged by SMTC executive producer and theatre veteran, David Hock with original Jerome Robbins choreography re-created by David Hock and Hillary Hirsch (long time Valley stage performer, choreographer and dance teacher). The 20-piece orchestra will be conducted by Adam Stich (Director of Music at Scottsdale Community College and Artistic Director for ProMusica Arizona).

Reserved seating tickets are now on sale for $24.50 with senior and student discounted tickets available for $19.50. SMTC also offers $10 tickets for military/veterans and their families.
