Manila, Philippines, September 25, 2013--BroadwayWorld.com (BWW) and Dulaang UP, University of the Philippines (UP) resident theater company, are giving away two pairs of tickets to Dulaang UP's 38th season play "The Duchess of Malfi/Dukesa ng Malfi." Those lottery tickets will be accepted on Sunday, September 29, for the 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. closing performances at UP's Wilfirido Ma. Guerrero Theater.

"The Duchess of Malfi/Dukesa ng Malfi" was penned by John Webster; its Tagalog translation was written by Palanca Award-winning playwright Allan Palileo. The story revolves around the recently widowed Duchess of Malfi who secretly marries her steward. Upon knowing such clandestine relationship, the duchess's two evil brothers plot to destroy the former's marriage. What follows is a series of maddening events that will torture the duchess leading to her tragic ending.
The play is directed by DUP Founder/Professor Emeritus Tony Mabesa; his artistic team includes Obie Award-winning production designer Clint Ramos (set design), Eric Pineda (costume design), Peter Alcedo Jr. (choreography), Meliton Roxas Jr. (lighting design) and Jethro Joaquin (sound design).
