Singapore--Although the BLUE MAN GROUP has already toured the world twice via its "Complex World Tour" (2003) and "How to Be a Megastar Tour 2.0" (2008-2009), these previous engagements, which featured other performing artists Tracy Bonham and DJ Mike Relm, were meant to promote the group's albums and not the immersive theatrical experience these iconic Blue Men are known for.

In its 25th anniversary, the world-renowned BLUE MAN GROUP, a trio of bald, blue-skinned, and tight-lipped performing artists, returns to its roots to star in the not your typical theatrical production, which currently has open-ended engagements in New York, Las Vegas, Orlando, Boston, Chicago, and Berlin, and launch the show's first-ever world tour. BLUE MAN GROUP will visit places where the show has not been performed yet, starting with Singapore (now until April 24), then across New Zealand (May 24 to June 26), and Manila, Philippines (September 14 to 25).

At the world tour's premiere, held at the MasterCard Theatres at the Marina Bay Sands on March 30, Laura Clement, Blue Man Productions senior vice president, said, "2016 is BLUE MAN GROUP's 25th anniversary, and there's no other way to celebrate that milestone but to bring our show to the rest of the world. This particular production is truly a culmination of several decades worth of work performed by our family of designers, artists, technicians, and performers."

She added, "This show pulls together the spectacle of our Las Vegas production, and combines it with the intimacy of our visual production at the Astor Place Theatre in New York City, maintaining some of its own unique elements and presenting a few pieces that have never-been-seen-before on any BLUE MAN GROUP stage."

BLUE MAN GROUP's 90-minute immersive theatrical experience, which caters to a wide range of demographics (it's kid friendly!), is comedy, theater, rock concert, and a private party all rolled into one. It features the group's own brand of techno-tribal music, custom musical instruments such as PVC pipes, state-of-the-art visual effects, euphoric dance moves, 30 liters of paint, mostly in primary colors, and 55 mashed bananas.

Born of the creative urge to explore the unknown by its creators and the original Blue Men Chris Wink, Matt Goldman, and Phil Stanton, 1991 Obie Award winner BLUE MAN GROUP has been performed 3,600 times every year and seen by over 35 million people in 15 countries.

For their 25th anniversary world tour, Blue Men Meridian (also the BLUE MAN GROUP's captain), Barney Haas, Thom Rackett, and Joe Woolmer are accompanied by band members Antonio Aguirre (strings, also the resident musical director), Olaf Grote (strings), Gerhard Schmitt (strings), Jeff Tortora (percussion), Luke Sangerman (percussion), and Randy Wooten (percussion).
