Top 1: JERSEY BOYS (Meralco Theatre, starts September 23)

Atlantis Theatrical Entertainment Group (ATEG) is set to premiere a brand new production of the Tony, Olivier, and Grammy Award-winning musical JERSEY BOYS, a biographical musical based on the story of the legendary American doo-wop group Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, on September 23.

Starring acoustic balladeer Nyoy Volante in the coveted role of Frankie Valli, lead vocalist of The Four Seasons, and Asian Pop Superstar Christian Bautista in the role of Bob Gaudio, singer-songwriter, and keyboardist of The Four Seasons, JERSEY BOYS will run for a limited 15 shows only, on the weekends from September 23 until October 16 at Meralco Theatre in Pasig City.

Top 2: AMERICAN IDIOT (Globe Iconic Store, starts June 24)

Telecom giant Globe and theater company 9 Works Theatrical co-produce the smash rock musical AMERICAN IDIOT by Green Day on a limited engagement from June 24 until July 10 at Globe Iconic Store at Bonifacio High Street Amphitheater in Taguig. Robbie Guevara ("La Cage Aux Folles") directs.

AMERICAN IDIOT stars former Rivermaya band vocalists Jason Fernandez (Johnny) and Norby David (Theo), Chicosi band lead vocalist Miggy Chavez (Will), Wolfgang band lead vocalist Basti Artadi (St. Jimmy), Nel Gomez (Tunny), Yanah Laurel (Whatsername), Alex Godinez (Heather), Ela Lisondra (Extraordinary Girl), Kai Atienza, Ariel Reonal (Favorite Son), Gian Gloria, Mako Alonso, Sarah Facuri, Chesko Rodriguez, Shalee Vicencio, Mark Tayag, and Kendrick Ibasco.

Top 3: BLUE MAN GROUP (Theatre at Solaire, starts September 14)

Following its 25th anniversary tour in Singapore, New Zealand, and Macao, BLUE MAN GROUP will play The Theatre at Solaire at Solaire Resort and Casino, Entertainment City in Paranaque City from September 14 to 25.

BLUE MAN GROUP, a 90-minute immersive theatrical experience, is comedy, theater, rock concert, and a private party all rolled into one. It features the performance artists' own brand of techno-tribal music, custom musical instruments such as PVC pipes, state-of-the-art visual effects, euphoric dance moves, 30 liters of paint--mostly in primary colors--and 55 mashed bananas.

Born of the creative urge to explore the unknown by its creators and the original Blue Men Chris Wink, Matt Goldman, and Phil Stanton, 1991 Obie Award winner and Grammy nominee BLUE MAN GROUP has been performed 3,600 times every year and seen by over 35 million people in 15 countries.

Top 4: GODSPELL (Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, starts June 17)

MusicArtes presents GODSPELL, which features music and new lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, in Makati City on the weekends from June 17 until June 26.

Directed by Anton Juan, GODSPELL, which tells the story of Jesus in a whimsical, sweet rock musical, stars Jef Flores (Jesus), OJ Mariano (John the Baptist, Judas), Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, Shiela Valderrama-Martinez, Caisa Borromeo, Poppert Bernadas, Topper Fabregas, Red Concepcion, Stephen Vinas, Abi Sulit, Maronne Cruz, Rhenz Gabalonzo, and Gab Pangilinan.

Top 5: ANNIE (Newport Performing Arts Theatre, starts in September)

Nine-year-old Krystal Brimner and 10-year-old Isabeli Elizalde will alternate in the role of the spunky, optimistic orphan Annie in the Broadway musical ANNIE, which Full House Theater Company and Resorts World Manila (RWM) are opening in September at RWM's Newport Performing Arts Theatre in Pasay City.

ANNIE, based on the comic strip titled "Little Orphan Annie" by Harold Gray, features the music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and book by Thomas Meehan.
