Manila, Philippines, November 15, 2012 - In the video, Asia's romantic balladeer Christian Bautista does his heartfelt vocal interpretation of "Tagistis ng Ulan," one of the most haunting ballads written by Maestro Ryan Cayabyab for the hit pop ballet "Rama Hari," inspired by the Indian epic Ramayana, which returns to the Cultural Center of the Philippines' main stage from Friday, November 30 to Sunday, December 9, 2012.
Bautista, who plays Rama, is reuniting with occasional stage and screen partner Karylle Tatlonghari, who plays Sita, in "Rama Hari," which also features Ballet Philippines' most prominent dancers Carissa Adea, Jean Marc Cordero, and Jemima Reyes.
"Rama Hari" has a libretto by National Artist for Literature Dr. Bienvenido Lumbera; choreography and stage direction by Ballet Philippines' Founding Artistic Director Alice Reyes; costume design by National Artist for Theater Salvador Bernal; and musical direction by Jed Balsamo.
