Manila, Philippines--Sixteen Bars and Staple and Perk Bakery, together with Fringe Manila, present "It's De-Lovely: Broadway Open Mic" at Staple and Perk Bakery (Ecoplaza Building Ground Floor, 2306 Chino Roces Avenue Extension, Makati City) on Tuesday, February 16, from 8 p.m. to 12 midnight. Registration (P200 for a slot: a song or a monologue, dialogue, or scene) will start from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the same day.

To R.S.V.P. before the event, visit the open mic's FB Page.

Sixteen Bars' Broadway Open Mic series is a quarterly fellowship event among theater enthusiasts and aspiring musical theater performers. This month's theme, It's De-Lovely, inspired by the hit song of Cole Porter, which is featured in the Broadway musical "Anything Goes," pays tribute to the love songs of Broadway.

The Open Mic's House Rules

> First come, first served.

> A priority slot is equivalent to one performance, not a per-head count; one slot can be performed solo or duet or as a group of three, four, or five.

> Songs + Scenes: Five minutes is maximum for each song; three minutes maximum for monologues, dialogues, and scenes. A scene leading to a song should not exceed one minute; if the scene would exceed one minute, the performance will take up two slots.

> Please bring music sheets.

> If someone sang your song, it's OK to sing the same song; you may choose another song as long as you have the music sheet.

> Sing-All-You-Can! You don't have to pay for an additional slot to sing another song or two!

> Lastly, a second registration will start at 10:30 p.m. to give way to all other guests who have yet to perform.

Sixteen Bars, a performing arts education company, aims to provide the growing needs of theater practitioners in Manila, which include master classes, workshops, and comprehensive education in music, acting, dance, and writing.

Fringe Manila, on the other hand, is an arts festival held in Manila. In the same tradition as the Fringe festivals all over the world, Fringe Manila's non-curated and uncensored productions celebrate the diversity of the arts in the capital city of the Philippines and beyond.
