Manila, Philippines--Performing arts education advocates Sixteen Bars are bringing their highly successful series of open mics titled SHOW OFF: BROADWAY OPEN MIC, where any musical theater enthusiast can turn up and perform a song on stage, to DITO: Bahay ng Sining (J. Molina St., Marikina City with tel. no. 63917-511-4556) on Saturday, July 25, from 7 to 11 p.m.

Entrance fee is PhP150 only, which comes with a free drink and a performance slot. The open mic performer, who will be accompanied by a featured pianist, should bring a music sheet and register at 6 p.m.

Additionally, for this edition of Sixteen Bars' SHOW OFF: BROADWAY OPEN MIC, theater enthusiasts can line up to perform their favorite monologues and scenes from plays and musicals. Dress, look, and act the part is encouraged!

Here are some tips from BroadwayWorld.com:

At Sixteen Bars' SHOW OFF: BROADWAY OPEN MIC, the performers come in all shapes and sizes. While the audience members are very understanding of those who turn up "unready," you don't want to be part of this group.

Simply practice in front of a mirror before you head off to DITO: Bahay ng Sining.

Avoid consumption of alcoholic beverages, too, prior to your performance.

Break a leg!

Sixteen Bars' SHOW OFF: BROADWAY OPEN MIC is made possible by DITO: Bahay ng Sining, WhenInManila.com, Hans Palma and Associates, Theater Fans In Manila, 8th Note Studios, Jayger FM, BroadwayWorld.com, and Reverb Manila.
