Manila, Philippines, November 19, 2012 - Resorts World Manila (RWM) launched its annual "Grand Fiesta" and hosted a media appreciation night at Genting Club, Maxims Hotel Wednesday night. This year's "Grand Fiesta" highlights Las Vegas-based singer Lani Misalucha's pre-Christmas concert on Wednesday, November 28; and Rodgers and Hammerstein's beloved Broadway musical "The King and I's" extended run until May 2013 - Philippine Musical Theater's favorite leading lady Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo was announced as replacement for Monique Wilson in the role of Anna Leonowens.
"Grand Fiesta" is now in its third year; according to RWM President Kingson Sia, this yearly celebration is the company's way of marketing the Philippines with emphasis on how Filipinos celebrate Christmas, which is touted to be the world's longest Christmas celebration - Christmas begins in the Philippines in September.
"Expect more exciting shows and entertainment," said Stephen Reilly, RWM's executive vice president.
At the "Grand Fiesta" launch, guests and the media were treated to performances by "The King and I" cast member Tanya Manalang (Tuptim), Youtube sensation and street musician Bryson Andres, Misalucha, Primo's James Uy and Jon Joven, pop-classical singer Fame Flores, and the Ukrainian Power Duo.
Among RWM's bigwigs that graced the event were Martin Paz, vice-president for integrated marketing, and Nini Icban, assistant vice-president for public relations.

Addendum: Wilson will resume teaching at East 15 Acting School at the University of Essex in the United Kingdom in 2013.
