Manila, Philippines, March 9, 2013 -- BB Gandanghari, Filipino actor and androgynous model, produces and stars in "Halik ng Tarantula," a Filipino translation of Argentine author Mario Puig's play "Kiss of the Spiderwoman" by Filipino playwright Rene O. Villanueva.
Soxie Topacio, a multi-awarded director and actor, directs the production, featuring Gandanghari as Luis Molina, a gay man jailed for child abuse in Manila (set in Argentina in Puig's original work); and Jet Alcantara and Jovic Monsod alternating as Valentin Arregui, a leftist revolutionary arrested after an armed fight against the government.
Richard Quan (Ang Lalaking Arkitekto), Rob Sy (Warden), and Matthew Chang (Violinist) also star.
The show concludes its limited engagement today at Teatrino, Greenhills, San Juan.
